Our Story

In 1951, Sam Appleby set out to help his fellow WWII veterans by expanding the legal services offered at his law firm in Ozark, Missouri, to assist them with their VA loans. Before long, word spread, and he began helping neighbors, friends, and families across the community with their real estate transactions. What started as one man’s commitment to service quickly became a family tradition. In 1976, Sam’s son, David Appleby, joined the firm and carried on his father’s legacy of integrity, hard work, and personal attention.

Forty years later, in 2016, David Appleby and his business partner, David Healy, took the next step by establishing Legal Land Title as a standalone company, separate from their legal practice, now known as Appleby Healy, Attorneys at Law. Today, with offices in Ozark and Springfield, our dedicated team continues to serve communities throughout Southwest Missouri with the same care and attention to detail that Sam showed his neighbors more than 70 years ago.
